In my courses, you will learn the mental skills used by top athletes in the world. I learned to deal with adversity during my career on the WTA Tour and I will use my experience to break down all skills into manageable steps. I've worked with countless athletes who are successfully using these strategies and you, too, can learn how to compete in a more positive and productive way.

Hi, I’m Meike Babel

I am a former world-class tennis player reaching a career high of #27 in singles and #45 in doubles in 1995 on the WTA tour. In 1992, I was nominated as “WTA Rookie of the Year”.

I played in 19 Grand Slam Tournaments and represented my native country, Germany, in Fed Cup competition. After retiring from the pro tour, I was the assistant coach for women’s tennis at Tulane University and Vanderbilt University.

In 2008, I graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Human and Organizational Development.

I received further training from Duke University Integrative Medicine to assist clients in behavior modification using various proven methods including mindfulness, perspective change and motivational interviewing. I was also certified as Mental Toughness Specialist by Dr. Jim Loehr's Human Performance Institute. I'm currently working with the Vanderbilt Women's Tennis team as well as athletes from different sports. I also serve as a Mental Skills Coach at USTA Regional Camps.
